Sign And Vote uses your residential address to identify the elections, districts, candidates, ballot information, and voting resources that apply to you. We do not display voter addresses publicly.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use Sign And Vote, we may collect:

Your name, email address, birth year, optional suffix, password-protected account information, and residential address.
Your participation preferences, including whether you are interested in yard signs, volunteering, qualifying contributions, or nomination petitions, along with selected candidate affiliations and notification choices.
District-match results, county, election districts, the date a match was checked, and a one-way address fingerprint used to determine whether a stored match is current.
Technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as authentication sessions, request logs, device or browser information, and error records.
For campaign accounts, profile content, campaign links, uploaded photographs, account membership, and invitation records.

We do not ask you to disclose how you voted or intend to vote.

How we use information

To create and secure your account.
To match your address to the correct Arizona districts and provide relevant election information.
To show participation opportunities and send communications you request.
To operate candidate pages and invitation-only campaign accounts.
To prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, maintain records, and improve Sign And Vote.
To comply with applicable law and protect users, campaigns, Sign And Vote, and the public.

Address and district matching

When you request a district match, Sign And Vote sends the address needed for geocoding to the U.S. Census Bureau's Census Geocoder. We then compare the resulting location with our stored district boundaries. Sign And Vote does not publish your address or expose it through public candidate pages.

When information is shared

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

Service providers that support hosting, authentication, databases, storage, email delivery, security, and address matching, including Vercel, Supabase, Resend, and the U.S. Census Bureau.
Government authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or service integrity.
A successor organization if Sign And Vote is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer, subject to applicable law.

We do not sell or rent voter personal information. We do not provide a voter's private address or participation settings to the public.

Emails and participation preferences

You control which participation categories and delivery methods you select. You can update these preferences from your voter dashboard. Account, security, verification, and other essential service messages may still be sent when necessary to operate your account.

Cookies and similar technology

Sign And Vote uses essential browser storage and authentication cookies to keep you signed in, protect sessions, and complete account creation. We may also retain a short-lived signup draft in your browser while you move between signup steps. It is removed after successful account creation.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. We use access controls, encrypted connections, row-level database restrictions, and other safeguards. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may update participation preferences through your dashboard. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting us. Some information may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or recordkeeping.

Age requirement

Sign And Vote voter accounts are intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly create voter accounts for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information.

External websites

Candidate websites, contribution systems, petition services, and government resources have their own privacy practices. This policy applies only to Sign And Vote.

Policy updates

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes may also be announced through the site or by email.
