Terms of Service

Effective and last updated: September 18, 2026

Sign And Vote is an independent civic-information platform. It is not a government agency, election authority, political party, or official voter-registration system.

Acceptance of these terms

By accessing Sign And Vote or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and accounts

Voter accounts are intended for people age 18 or older. You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Candidate and campaign access is invitation-only. Receiving an invitation does not establish government verification, endorsement, ballot qualification, or eligibility for public financing.

Civic information, not official advice

We work to provide useful and accurate election information, but districts, candidates, deadlines, polling arrangements, ballot status, and election rules can change. Sign And Vote does not provide legal advice and does not replace official election authorities. Always confirm time-sensitive information with the appropriate state, county, or local election office.

Candidate pages and political neutrality

Candidate listings may combine public records with information supplied by campaigns. A listing is not an endorsement. “Verified campaign” means an invited campaign account controls designated campaign-supplied portions of that page; it does not mean Sign And Vote has certified every statement or the candidate's legal eligibility.

Campaign users are responsible for the accuracy, legality, ownership, and currency of the material and links they submit.

External actions and payments

Sign And Vote may link to government petition systems, campaign websites, contribution processors, or other external services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sign And Vote does not process the external transaction, control the external service, guarantee that an action will qualify under election law, or receive the submitted payment or signature. External terms and privacy policies apply.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the service unlawfully, deceptively, or to interfere with an election or another person's rights.
  • Attempt to access another user's account, private voter information, administrative systems, or restricted campaign tools.
  • Probe, bypass, disable, or overload security, authentication, rate limits, or technical safeguards.
  • Upload malware or content that is fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, threatening, or otherwise unlawful.
  • Scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse personal information obtained through the service.
  • Misrepresent campaign authority, candidate affiliation, identity, ballot status, or official government approval.

Our content and your content

Sign And Vote and its original design, software, branding, and materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Sign And Vote a nonexclusive license to host, reproduce, format, and display that content as needed to operate and promote the service.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the platform, comply with law, address unauthorized campaign access, respond to withdrawal or disqualification, or enforce these terms. Campaign access may be removed without deleting an underlying public candidate record.

Service availability and disclaimers

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free data, election outcomes, candidate qualification, successful petition signatures, qualifying contributions, or delivery of every notification.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sign And Vote and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on unofficial information, external services, unauthorized access, service interruption, or user-submitted content. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where controlling law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Sign And Vote evolves. The date above identifies the current version. Continued use after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
